You have voted a traitor for PM / President
You have voted a traitor for our Prime Minister or President. Unfortunately, there is no longer a clear cut by which you could immediately identify the country I am talking about. If it is Slovakia, Czechia, US, France (if the polls are to be trusted),... We are facing a crisis of our own making. We are too much glued to our screens that offer us the rage baiting content made by the everlasting bot farms all over the world amplifying the fears of people with closed minds - if you've seen video linked in my previous post, it appears that the ones fearing are the ones without the actual experience. Yes, fear of the unknown is old as humanity itself and the main driver of xenophobia, but with the rise of the internet - our ability to have all information about everything in our hands all the time, should actually prevent this. It is saddening to see companies out there (Meta, X, cough cough), that do not care about any of this as long as they grab your attention, regardless of the impact of their platforms on the society, just so they have another billion on their account.
As stated, we are to blame, as we have allowed these companies to do this to us. We are the ones using WhatsApp, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads,... The power is in our hands (and minds) to say "STOP, I do not want to use this propaganda spreading piece of crap any longer". People are unfortunately too lazy, too used to it in order to do something about it. You want to switch from WhatsApp to Signal? Good luck with convincing all your friends and family to install another app on their phones. But of course they are fine with spreading minion memes with racist / anti-LGBQT+ context. We are sedated by algorithms, unless we, collectively as a society, will do something about it, the world will continue in the trajectory it is headed, and there might not be a free world in a few decades anymore, just a technofascist dystopia (imagine the human pods from Matrix).
