I have nothing but a respect for you, as the creator of Markdown (which this blog is created in), blogger whose posts were read by Steve Jobs, font and design geek...
That is why it is so saddening to see your constant attacks towards EU and our laws. I know it is cool to bitch about this and some of the ways EU is dealing with things are not exactly stellar but being a dick about this just because one of the biggest companies in the world does not want to open up their ecosystem is a bit too much, no matter how much you love or respect the said company.
In the end you are no better than the administration of your country, seeding hate against EU and making it the butt of your jokes. Especially in the times like these when world needs more unity rather than division over everything. It is also not EU that is hypercapitalistic and subjects its citizens to surveillance capitalism, so compared to the US privacy laws and what EU is doing for its citizens, I do not believe we have that much to complain.
